Meditation for beginners - a five week course

about
You’ll get to know what meditation is (and what it isn’t), common obstacles, and practical tips to make it part of daily life. We’ll explore themes like witness consciousness, non-reactivity, and living with an open heart, and look at how these qualities can gently transform the way you relate to yourself and others.
The main practices in this course are self-inquiry (“Who am I?”) and Hridaya Meditation, a heart-centered approach that invites you to rest in stillness and presence. Alongside these, each week we’ll also try a different meditation technique from various traditions – for example breath awareness, body scan, loving-kindness, or mantra – so you can feel which practices resonate for you.
We slowly build up the length of the meditations over the 5 weeks, giving your body and mind time to adapt. There is space for questions, sharing, and gentle guidance, so you feel supported whether this is your very first meditation course or you already have some experience.

Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you recognise yourself in one or more of these questions:
-
Are you curious to learn more about meditation and what it actually is?
-
Have you heard that meditation is good for you and would you like to try it out in a safe, guided way?
-
Would you like to live a more connected, meaningful life – with a little more space around thoughts and feelings?
-
Do you long for simple tools to meet stress and everyday challenges with more calm and less reactivity?
-
Are you looking for a soft, welcoming space to start (or restart) your meditation practice?
If you nodded “yes” to any of these, you are very welcome in this course.
About Myrthe

She maintains a steady daily practice of about 1–2.5 hours, and sees everyday life as an extension of her spiritual practice. As a trained Hridaya meditation teacher with experience teaching in an international yoga and meditation school, she shares these practices in a gentle, clear, and down-to-earth way.
